How Dayrate feeds Triangulate
Dayrate is free because it feeds Triangulate, the workforce cost intelligence engine built by Deployed. Triangulate is a pricing backend: it models what work should cost, for people and for services, across markets worldwide, from public statistical sources, statutory filings, job postings and contributed observations. Every band Dayrate shows is priced by that engine.
A placed rate joins Triangulate's observed pool pseudonymously. The observation carries role, seniority level, market and figure. It is stored against the account email for two purposes only: honouring deletion requests and policing abuse. No published figure, band or output ever carries a name, an email, an employer or any other identifier; an observation surfaces only inside aggregated bands built from many contributions. Buyers using Triangulate see the bands, never the individuals behind them.
Estimates store nothing. Only a rate deliberately placed, while signed in, enters the pool.
1. Who we are
Dayrate (dayrate.dev) is operated by Deployed ("we", "us"), the company behind the Triangulate workforce cost intelligence engine (triangulate.dev). Contact: jamie.gannaway@deployed.co. These terms are a contract between you and us; by creating an account or placing a rate you accept them.
2. What Dayrate is
Dayrate answers one question: what should a day of your work be paid? You name a role, and optionally a country, a seniority level and your actual salary, and the service returns an estimated day-rate band priced by the Triangulate engine. Every figure is a statistical band with a stated source, method and confidence grade.
Estimates are information, not advice. They are not financial, legal, tax or professional advice, not a promise of what any client will pay, and not a recommendation to charge, accept or negotiate any figure. Markets move, data ages, and models simplify; you rely on an estimate at your own judgement.
3. Your account
You sign in with LinkedIn through Clerk, our authentication provider. Sign-in gives us your name, email address and profile photo, and nothing else from LinkedIn: no job history, no connections, no posts. You must be at least 18, use your own identity, and keep one account. Signing in is required only to keep an estimate and to place a rate; estimates themselves are open to everyone.
4. Your contributions and how we may use them
Placing your rate is a contribution to Triangulate's observed pool, on the terms stated above: stored against your account email, used pseudonymously, published only inside aggregated bands, never with your identity. If you paste your LinkedIn profile, we read it once for your current title and dated span, then discard it; we never fetch your profile ourselves.
You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use each contributed observation for building, calibrating and publishing aggregated workforce cost intelligence within Triangulate. You warrant that a rate you place is your own honest figure. You can withdraw your contributions at any time by asking us to delete your account, which removes your observations from the pool (section 7).
5. Acceptable use
Do not: submit rates you know to be false; scrape, bulk-extract or systematically reconstruct the service or its bands; probe or burden the service or the engine behind it; misrepresent Dayrate's figures as your own dataset; or use the service to break any law or anyone else's terms. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
6. Intellectual property
The service, the engine, the bands, the methodology and the Dayrate and Triangulate names and marks are ours or our licensors'. You may use and share your own results for personal purposes; the licence in section 4 covers what we may do with your contributions. Nothing here transfers ownership either way.
7. Deletion and termination
Delete your account at any time by emailing us; we remove your account and your contributed observations from the pool. Aggregated bands already computed are not reversible, but contain nothing identifying you. We may withdraw or change the service, or these terms, at any time; material changes to the terms are posted here with a new date, and continued use is acceptance.
8. Liability
Dayrate is free, and provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude warranties and are not liable for losses arising from reliance on an estimate, from unavailability, or from events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you rights and venues that cannot be contracted away.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data, including the pseudonymisation of contributions, is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
